The Alpha Course
What is the Alpha course?
Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in an informal, fun and friendly environment. The Alpha course consists of a series of 10 evening talks, looking at topics including ‘Who is Jesus?’ and ‘Why and how do I pray?’, with the option of a weekend away.
Each evening of the course begins with a meal at 7:30pm, followed by a short talk on the Christian faith and an opportunity to discuss the talk in a small group. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. The group usually finishes by 9:15am and there is no charge.
You are free to come or go as you please. You don’t have to come to the whole course – just pop along for the first session and see what you think. No pressure!
Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for everyone. We don’t assume any background knowledge of or belief in Christianity and everyone is welcome. The course is designed primarily for people who don’t go to church or who haven’t been to church in a long time and are interested in the Christian faith.
